The Artificial Green pride themselves in providing desirable lawn finishes and with thanks to today’s manufacturers ever improving their products it is now affordable to have life like artificial grass in the garden.
There are several different types of turf available which vary in price and are suitable for different applications. Common lawns of relative cost are usually either 24mm or 40mm artificial grass blade lengths available in either two or four metre wide rolls. They can be filled with sand or rubber chippings or a combination of both to provide good drainage and a soft surface whilst also controlling the desired blade length. Lawns are laid on sharp sand base at a maximum depth of two inches which helps with drainage, this is then covered with a weed surpressor material before the artificial grass is finally fixed into position. The turf can be joined simply and effectively to cover larger areas using a glue and joining tape, further fixing may include using pegs or in-ground wooden steaks although the weight of the artificial lawn itself is enough to hold it in place.
